CPI2024 Awards

Abstract award - Best oral presentation

We are pleased to announce that this year there will be two awards for best oral presentation.

The award:

  • AU$100 to the presenting author and
  • AU$1000 to the presenting NICU team (to be used towards registration costs for  attending CPI2024).

Eligibility:

  • Be the presenter and first author of the submitted abstract oral presentation
  • Not have received the award at the previous CPI Conference.

Selection criteria:

  • Addresses quality improvement cycle
  • Impact of study
  • Originality
  • Presentation.

Presentations will be judged by a CPI2024 panel during the conference.

 

Abstract award - Best poster presentation

We are pleased to announce that this year there will be two awards for best poster presentation.

The award:

  • AU$100 to the presenting author.

Eligibility:

  • Be the presenter and first author of the submitted abstract poster presentation
  • Not have received the award at the previous CPI Conference.

Selection criteria:

  • Addresses quality improvement cycle
  • Impact of study
  • Originality
  • Presentation.

Presentations will be judged by a CPI2024 panel during the conference.

Best Abstract in neonatal respiratory research

We are pleased to announce that this year there will be up to two Chiesi Sponsored Neonatal Research Awards.

 

Chiesi

The award:

  • Up to 2 x AU$8,000 (+GST) for travel, registration and accommodation to attend an international congress as determined by the ANZNN and the recipient(s).

Eligibility:

  • Neonatologist, fellow or senior clinical NICU nurse who is a CPI2024 delegate from an Australian NICU 
  • Must be available to attend an international congress during the calendar year 2025.

How to apply:

  • Present the unit’s best research, real world experience case study or clinical practice improvement in respiratory neonatology from the previous 12 months.
  • This is to be presented as a one-page summary.
  • 2.54 cm margins.
  • Arial font, size 12, single spaced.
  • Title should be in CAPITALS at the top of the page followed by the Author.
  • Only one author to be listed and they must be a CPI2024 delegate and attend the conference on Tuesday 22nd October 2024 to accept the award.
  • Maximum of one small table or figure is allowed within the space of the one page.
  • Submit in PDF format with file name as Surname_Chiesi_Award_Submission_2024.pdf
  • Submitted with email subject line CHIESI HEALTH AWARD to anznn@unsw.edu.au by 5pm AEST Monday 1st July 2024, no exceptions.

Please note:

  • The submissions will be judged by a CPI2024 selection panel.
  • The submissions will be separate and independent of the CPI2024 abstract process.
  • Selected finalist abstracts will be invited to present at CPI 2024 conference for the judging of the Award.
  • The judging panel will determine and inform authors whether the abstract will be presented as a plenary presentation or poster presentation at the conference.
  • The work described in the submission can overlap with CPI2024 abstract submissions a delegate may have already made.
